This is more or less the book version of 'kiss, marry, kill' but 100x better because books. I had a great time doing this, even though it did take a bit to gather all of the titles. So much so that I am definitely going to do this tag again in the future.
This is a bit different from the usual book tag, as you have to randomly select three books you have read, and decide which one you want to 'burn, rewrite or reread'. I didn't know how hard it was going to be to decide which book belongs to each category, but everything actually ended up lining up really well.
I found this on Zezee with Books, but credit goes to the creator of the tag.
Here we go!
ROUND 1
Burn - The Keeper of the Night by Kylie Lee Baker because this was not the Japanese mythology book I was expecting.
Rewrite - The Effort by Claire Holroyde because when you're book is about the effort to stop an incoming meteor, I want it to actually focus on that.
Reread - Distant Sky #4 because this series gave me chills.
ROUND 2
Burn - Watersnakes by Tony Sandoval because this was just odd.
Rewrite - Vampire Knight Vol.1 by Matsuri Hino because no one wants THAT plot point.
Reread - Fence #12 by C.S. Pacat because fencing is an underappreciated sport, and because of all that tension.
ROUND 3
Burn - Gyo by Junji Ito only because those things need to burn.
Rewrite - City of Bones by Cassandra Clare because Clary annoyed me and the story would have been way better without her.
Reread - The Order of the Pure Moon Reflected in Water by Zen Cho because I don't remember this, at all.
ROUND 4
Burn - Anatomy: A Love Story by Dana Schwartz because the last 25 pages ruined the entire book.
Rewrite - Biting the Tiger by Mindal Park because, while I did enjoy this, I wish some elements were a bit different.
Reread - Recursion by Blake Crouch because, even though nothing can top reading this for the first time, it is just that good.
ROUND 5
Burn - Fairy Tail Gaiden #3 by Hiro Mashima and Kyouta Shibano because this was just a disappointing entry in the series.
Rewrite - Fragments of Horror by Junji Ito because it wasn't bad, but it could have been better.
Reread - Jade City by Fonda Lee because I need to continue the series.
ROUND 6
Burn - The Wicked + The Divine Vol.3 by Gillen, McKelvie, Wilson and Cowles because this has got to be the most disappointing thing I have read and I am mad about it.
Rewrite - Dark Waters by Katherine Arden because it wasn't bad, but should have been a bit longer to properly flesh things out.
Reread - The Dead and the Dark by Courtney Gould because I remember relatively enjoying it.
