Crown of Midnight

Updated: Jul 13, 2021

Rating - ⭐⭐⭐⭐1/2

"She is the greatest assassin her world has ever known. But does she have the heart of a killer?

After a year of hard labor in the Salt Mines of Endovier, eighteen-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien has won the king's contest to become the new royal assassin. But Celaena is far from loyal to the crown. Keeping up the charade - while pretending to do the king's bidding - will test her skills in an entirely new way. And it certainly isn't the only point of confusion for the young girl. Because though she's made her choice between Dorian and Chaol, the ways of the heart are never simple."

Crown of Midnight is the second installment in the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas.

I don't actually have a lot to say about this book other than that I enjoyed it just as much as the first...

What I liked is that we are slowly starting to unravel the pieces of the story and the some characters are having more development and more involvement in the plot.

There was just one thing I didn't like that I can't get too much into because major spoilers. But, I wish more time was spent focusing on other things before that came cause it would have had a bigger impact on me.
