The Reawakening Arc is the 2nd arc in Solo Leveling, a webtoon adapted from the web novel by Chugong, with art by DUBU (REDICE STUDIO) and story by h-goon. This arc consists of chapters 11-12 of the webtoon.
Although this is a very short arc, I still very much so enjoyed myself while reading this as it accomplished what it was meant to.
Let's just get straight into the details.
PLOT
This arc acts like more of a buffer as Jinwoo needs to grapple with the aftereffects of the double dungeon. With the new benefits that Jinwoo has received, this is where the story really begins. Now able to level up his rank, Jinwoo this point on is going to change, both as a hunter and as a person.
Not much going on in this arc otherwise, as there is a distinct lack of action which was substituted for world-building instead.
WORLD-BUILDING
Of course, with the new addition of the System, we have a new, well, magic system. The System is a board that only Jinwoo can see that consists of his stats, inventory, and a shop. He also has a daily quest that if he completes he gains a benefit, but if he doesn't he is penalized. It is a pretty standard leveling system where when you level up by fighting beasts, you gain a skills point.
I also forgot to mention this in my last review, but this world has guilds that hunters can join. Guilds always make for an interesting aspect of a world (and I also just love animes with guilds in them). At this point in time, they aren't very relevant, but I am sure that they will become important in the future.
CONCLUDING THOUGHTS
Again, as this was a very short arc, we didn't get too much from it. This arc did end up serving its purpose though by introducing us to the new System.
